Practice Facilities
Medical and Surgical Facilities
Woodcroft Veterinary Group has a comprehensive range of the most up to date equipment for the treatment of your pet including:
Hospitalisation Facilities
Just as with ourselves, a stay in hospital can be a worrying time. We understand this and try to make the time your pet may spend in our hospital as comfortable as possible for the animal and as stress free as possible for you, the owner.
At the new Cheadle Hulme Veterinary Hospital, we have separate wards for cats and dogs and also separate wards for day cases and inpatients. All the wards are bright, warm and comfortable.
We have intensive care and isolation facilities. We have a nursing team who are dedicated to looking after the hospitalised animals. They work on a shift system ensuring 24-hour care. Detailed clinical case notes are kept and each animal has a veterinary surgeon allocated to oversee its care. |

Specialities
See also under Referral Service.
Woodcroft Veterinary Group is a referral practice offering second opinions for clients in the following areas:
- Cardiology - Liam Atkinson and Jane Marshall
- Internal Medicine – Donald Wiggins
- Orthopaedics - David Parker
- Ophthalmology - Bill Manton
- Behaviour Therapy - Patricia Connolly
External consultants also offer regular physiotherapy clinics.
In-House Laboratory Facilities
| The health and safety of your pet is our foremost concern. As your pet cannot describe symptoms to let us know what might be wrong, we recommend blood tests to give us the answers we need, especially before a general anaesthetic and surgery.
By testing blood biochemistries, electrolytes and haematology in our extensively equipped laboratories at Cheadle Hulme and Heaton Moor, we can evaluate the status of your pet's health accurately and quickly.
Where the early malfunction of major organs is detected this will allow prompt and appropriate treatment to be commenced. | |
