Award winning practices

Video: About the Practice Standards SchemeOur practices are regularly inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme.  The RCVS is the official body that regulates the veterinary profession. The particularly high standards of care and facilities we provide are recognised by the RCVS.

Our state of the art hospital on Queens Road in Cheadle Hulme has been awarded ‘hospital’ status by the RCVS. This is the highest accolade the RCVS are able to award, currently held by less than 170 practices out of over 5000 nationwide.

We are also registered with the British Veterinary Hospitals Association who provide further information for pet owners. The fantastic facilities at Cheadle veterinary centre were recently  recognised by the BVHA: Cheadle veterinary centre won one of their three annual national awards for practice design .

As part of the accreditation process for ‘hospital status’ the RCVS audits all our vets to guarantee that they regularly undertake additional training & education to ensure that all our patients receive the best care at all times.

We are the only practice to make this accredited standard of care available in Stockport and Wilmslow.

The Queens Road veterinary hospital ‘houses’ Cheadle Hulme A&E Vets as well as our consultant veterinary team. All our patients requiring overnight care are transferred to our hospital for constant round the clock supervision. We have a dedicated veterinary ambulance service to ensure transportation is as comfortable as possible. The hospital is staffed by experienced, qualified vets and nurses at all times – your pet will not be left alone at night.
